“3 Dimension Wound Cores” are a structural core that consists of 3 single core frame that are identic. Within each single core frame is made of trapezoid silicon steel tape that are winded to become a wound single core frame. When the three of wound single core frame are assembled into one, they are formed structurally as a “triangle” that are dense and compact.

Due to this structure, there will be no air gap. And due to the flux flow is uniformed and total weight of the 3D wound core is lower, it results in reduction of no-load loss by 20-25%. Furthermore, by the reduction of excitation current approximately by 50%, the reactive loss is reduced significantly, and allowing to increase the Cos-phi of the transformer.
